NBME is hiring a Temporary Senior Market and Competitive Intelligence Analyst. The Senior Market and Competitive Intelligence Analyst is a strategic and analytical leader who supports the work of the Senior Market and Competitive Intelligence Manager. They are responsible for providing actionable market and competitive insights that inform the strategic direction of NBME. This role is critical to the success of NBME and its mission to drive growth and innovation in the field of medical education and assessment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the assessment and understanding of market and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Scan the competitive and industry landscape to identify developments that impact NBME's strategic goals and synthesize these developments into focused insights and guidance.
- Stay up-to-date on current and emerging market and industry trends and continually improve market intelligence.
- Provide relevant and insightful market and competitive information to enhance decision-making, positioning, and product/service offerings.
- Consult and analyze on complex initiatives and projects where market and/or competitive intelligence is needed.
- Collaborate with marketing research to understand trends, create analysis, and generate insights about key strategic priorities.
- Actively champion and enhance organizational initiatives to improve the use of a centralized intelligence hub (Intelligence2Day).
- Deliver presentations to key stakeholders on market trends, competitive dynamics, and their impact on NBME's strategic priorities. Develop communication devices to share meaningful and actionable intelligence with audiences in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent analytical skills to read, analyze, and interpret information and to evaluate the possible implications for NBME's brand, products and services, and strategic priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and or limited information.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment and strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen sense of curiosity about the world and a mindset of experimentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload in a time-sensitive environment and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with complex, sometimes competing priorities.
Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in group product marketing, competitive intelligence, or marketing required.
- Medical education or healthcare experience is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's) required.
