On behalf of our affiliate, FERST Logistics (www.ferstlogistics.com), we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager, based in Magoula, Attiki.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting, finance, and tax functions within a fast-paced vehicle logistics environment. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in accounting and financial management, adept at handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with both local and international accounting standards, and optimizing tax practices. The Accounting Manager will lead and develop the accounting team, collaborating across departments to support company growth and financial health.
Reporting directly to the CEO, FERST key responsibilities include:
- Manage all financial activities, including invoicing, collections, payments, and cost accounting, ensuring quality control, ERP system alignment, and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with the accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. Oversee the integrity of all accounting records and ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, leveraging Power BI or similar tools.
- Lead the budgeting process in collaboration with department heads, compiling financial projections aligned with business goals and group objectives.
- Implement cost-control measures, monitor expenditure against budgets, and perform detailed profitability analyses to enhance financial efficiency. Oversee profit and cost centers to ensure accurate cost allocation and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accuracy in revenue recognition, expense allocations, and cost center reporting.
- Secure robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data.
- Manage working capital by monitoring receivables, inventory, and payables, and escalate issues promptly to the respective line managers and CEO.
- Ensure the company is audit-ready by monitoring tax regulation compliance, managing filing deadlines, and aligning with the Group's audit and reporting requirements.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, set goals and KPIs, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of external consultants, including tax advisors and payroll service providers, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with regulations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive informed decision making, providing financial insights and ensuring accurate timely information.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a management
or leadership capacity.
- Holder of A' class signatory rights
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA (completed or in progress) are advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
- Experience in the logistics, automotive, or transportation sectors is an advantage.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Soft One or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Bi.
- In-depth knowledge of Greek GAAP, IFRS, Accounting & Tax legislation
- Experience in management accounting and internal reporting
- Experience in issuing periodic financial and commercial reports
- Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting practices.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
