Production Specialist

- Working with Services team members and colleagues across the company to respond to customer service requests related to email production in accordance with client contracts.
- Managing deadlines of short-term and long-term projects to keep client newsrooms’ fundraising campaigns on schedule
- Testing or troubleshooting ESP features like segmentation and template formatting during the production process
- Earning the trust of Hub clients and becoming a valued member of their team by delivering support in a timely and accurate manner, communicating clearly and effectively, and understanding their needs
- Sharing challenges and learnings with colleagues and helping adapt services accordingly
- Occasionally, other types of production work tied to our clients needs and our services such as reports or slide deck creation.
Requirements
~1 min read- Demonstrated experience working in email marketing, newsletter or email production work, or other related area(s) that would transfer to this role
- Experience working with multiple email service providers (ESPs) is preferred, particularly Mailchimp, Active Campaign, and Beehiiv
- Experience with running and analyzing A/B tests for emails
- Knowledge of related elements of email marketing to aid with troubleshooting and client support, including deliverability, reputation, and email analytics
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems on the fly, and communicate with those around you.
- The ability to self-motivate, self-manage, and work remotely.
- Experience working in a newsroom environment or a background in or passion for journalism is a plus
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
- Copyediting skills a plus
- Producing email-related work integral to Hub service areas, such as building or updating email automations and building standalone fundraising emails for clients
- Managing customer support requests and resolving them on deadline in accordance with our contracts and service level agreements
- Creating documentation to help colleagues and new employees understand what we do and how we do it
- Interfacing with journalists, editors, and C-Suite executives representing our clients
- Interfacing with Hub colleagues to move projects forward and help us collaboratively serve our clients
- Eventually, training others on work under your purview (ie, teaching a client how to build an automation)
