Lumber Associate

The Lumber Associate’s duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, gaining product knowledge, delivering product, merchandising, and controlling shrink 

• →Provide amazing customer service
• →Knows use of products offered
• →Quality assurance checks of product
• →Operate a 2 ton truck on streets and highways (dependent on location)
• →Safely maneuver around the lumberyard and job sites
• →Hand unloads material like drywall, shingles, plywood, etc.
• →Proper handling of product
• →Promote and support established programs
• →Day to day operational procedures to ensure stock level, inventory, and cleanliness
• →Communicate with and receive product from approved vendors
• →Promote Sales
• →Follows all store and department policies and procedures
• →Follows safety policies and procedures
• →Other duties as assigned

• Must have a CLD lincense 

• →This job has no supervisory responsibilities

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or
• One to three months related experience and/or training;
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and Associates.

• Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) 

• Must have a CDL license. (Dependent on location)
• Safety Training, Hazardous Communication Training, Forklift Training (Provided at store level)
