Research Scientist I (Schizophrenia Research) (210-2026-49)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The candidate would carry out data analysis, manuscript preparation, and would assist in lab functions.

JOB DUTIES:

A candidate with the following skills and experiences is highly preferred: Experience with EEG data analysis, statistical analyses, MATLAB, Python, and neuromodulation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A doctoral degree/candidate in one of the following disciplines: psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or bioinformatics.
A knowledge of high-density EEG data collection.

Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:

Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment. 2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
