About the Team

Our External Investigations Team (EIT) plays a critical role in protecting the public and maintaining confidence in the professions we regulate. Working at the heart of our fitness to practise process, the team ensures that concerns are investigated fairly, efficiently, and in line with the highest professional and regulatory standards.

As part of EIT, you'll collaborate with colleagues and external investigation providers to help deliver high-quality investigations that support informed decision-making and uphold public trust.

Your Role & Impact

We're looking for highly organised and detail-oriented Case Officers to join our team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating the progression of fitness to practise cases from investigation through to key decision points. You'll work closely with external investigation providers, monitor case progress, review documentation for accuracy and quality, and ensure that all case information is maintained to the highest standards.

Your work will directly contribute to ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently, and without unnecessary delay. By keeping investigations on track and ensuring robust case management, you'll play an important role in safeguarding the public and maintaining confidence in the professions we regulate.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You'll bring:
  • Experience working in a case management, administrative, regulatory, or similarly structured environment
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documents, records, and case information
  • Confidence using information systems and maintaining accurate data and records
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to identify issues, solve problems, and escalate matters appropriately when required
You'll be successful in this role if you can:
  • Take ownership of your work and proactively drive cases forward
  • Apply a quality-focused, "right first time" approach to case management and documentation
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and empathy when handling sensitive information
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to new ways of working
Most importantly, you'll be committed to fairness, integrity, and public protection, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact through your work.
