We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Systems Engineer to support a significant government project in Ft. Washington, MD. This role is integral to the maintenance and operation of both hardware and software systems, ensuring compliance with the customer's established policies and standards. This full-time position demands 1880 hours of support annually, predominantly at the customer's location. Key Responsibilities: Support the operation and maintenance of all hardware and software in line with the customer's requirements for their production and training networks. Derive and manage requirements to ensure system compatibility with defined architectures (e.g., DoDAF, SOA, STE/STN) and compliance with customer standards. Develop and implement an Information System Security Plan (ISSP) and secure the enterprise in accordance with computer security regulations. Assist in the development of system, functional requirements, and allocation to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components. Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration. Perform market surveys/studies and recommend new or improved software solutions to enhance IT capabilities. Establish, maintain, and submit the annual Baseline Exception Request Plan for all IT equipment procurements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, plus at least 6 years of systems engineering experience; or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of systems engineering experience. Demonstrated experience in managing system requirements and ensuring compatibility with system architectures like DoDAF, SOA, and STE/STN. Proven ability in developing and implementing ISSPs and in securing the enterprise in accordance with computer security regulations. Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2013 and 2016, Microsoft Server 2012 and 2016, and other technologies such as IBM Big Fix, MS SharePoint, and MS Active Directory.
