Certified Surgical Technologist - Main Operating Room - Days

$27.14 - $40.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• →Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff.  Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
• →Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies and procedures.  Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
• →Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.

• →Graduate of an approved surgical technology program
• →Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• →Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience
• →Certification in surgical technology preferred
