- Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
- Location: Skokie, IL
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating between 7:00AM-7:00PM; Saturday/Sunday: Rotating 8:00AM-5:00PM
- Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Answer phones
- →Schedule appointments
- →Collect co-payments
- →Complete patient registration
- →Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
- →Check in and check out patient
- →Verify insurances
- →Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- →Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- →Provide front office support as needed
- →Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- →Phlebotomy and injections may be required
- →Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- →Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
- →Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
