Occupational Health Physician

Endeavor Health is recruiting for a full-time occupational health physician.  Exciting opportunity to join the occupational health team in our Naperville market at Edward Hospital.

• →Clinical Care: Treat work-related injuries and illnesses and manage workers’ compensation cases.
• →Evaluations: Perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT, and fitness-for-duty exams.

• →Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs
• →Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources for the patients and families
• →Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure the availability of a physician at all times.
• →Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
• →Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
• →Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care
• →Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
• →Orders studies, test and ancillary services
• →Documents all services in patient medical record
• →Reviews on a regular basis long-term cases that require ongoing medical attention
• →Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
• →Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements
• →Oversees mid-level medical staff if assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
• →Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
• →Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations

• Position: EHMG Board Certified Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent care
• Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville, IL; may travel to other locations in the market.
• Full Time - direct medical services 1800 hours per year

• Salary range: $230,000-269,000.  The pay rate offered is determined within the pay range and is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance measures.

• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.

• Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise.
• DOT Certified
• MRO Certification is a plus
• BLS

• Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.
