About the Role

The Box Office Supervisor manages the daily ticket selling operations, building each show in the Ticketmaster system and box office staff including ushers. The Box Office Supervisor is also a liaison who represents Ocean Casino Resort for all outside artist agencies and management.

Responsibilities

  • →Works closely with the Senior Manager Marketing Operations, Manager Entertainment Production and Director of Entertainment to push ticket sales, assist with seat labeling and promote shows
  • →Must be able to set-up and block all shows for the property in a timely matter
  • →Oversee all ticketing requests (holds, comps, media requests)
  • → Able to pull requested reports when need by management
  • → Works closely with Ticketmaster to build new seating layouts
  • → Conducts new hire interviews
  • →Oversees all ticketing details for headliners and production shows
  • →Handles all payroll for box office staff
  • →Assist retail and comp guests with ticket distribution
  • →Must be able to build and reclass all shows on the Ticketmaster system
  • →Must be able to schedule box office staff and ushers for each show
  • → Must be able to provide positive and constructive coaching to all staff
  • → Must be able to handle customer  issues and inquiries
  • →Must be able to manage/understand ticketing holds, group sales, consignment pulls and general Ticketmaster requests
  • →Must be able to  reconcile box office and show settlements s
  • →Provide accounting with all necessary documents, reports, receipts and remaining complimentary tickets after every show
  • → Create and distribute property-wide fact sheets and departmental show recaps

 

 

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel area
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
  • Must have ability to sit and work from a computer for extended periods
  • Must have manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time

 

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office Applications:  Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift/push pull up to 20 pounds
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in box office management or supervision
  • Must be willing to continuously learn updated program through Ticketmaster
  • Must have strong knowledge of leading ticketing software applications (e.g. Ticketmaster). Knowledge of other ticketing applications is a plus. .

✓Pay Rate: $49,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
