Principal Product Manager - Consumer (Hybrid @ Bellevue, WA)

OfferUp is looking for a Principal Product Manager - Consumer to help us run one of the most popular marketplaces in the country. This is a role for a leader who loves the "messy" challenges of a startup, someone who can stay grounded through the fast-paced ups and downs while keeping their eyes on the long-term goal.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bellevue, WA office. You’ll spend 2–3 days a week in the office, working alongside our teams to solve real problems for millions of daily users. We’re looking for someone with great product instincts, a love for data, and a genuine interest in how AI can make the marketplace better for everyone.

• →Lead across a talented team: Partner with a focused group of engineers, designers, and other key stakeholders. You’ll help them navigate trade-offs and stay focused on the most important work.
• →Own the user experience: Figure out which features will actually help our buyers and sellers, then build a clear plan to make them a reality.
• →Drive the roadmap: Create a practical roadmap that balances big ideas with the daily reality of shipping code.
• →Be a key voice: Work directly with company leadership to influence our strategy and back up your ideas with clear reasoning.
• →Test and learn: Run experiments (A/B testing) to see what works and what doesn’t, using those insights to constantly improve the app.
• →Bridge the gap: Work across the company with designers, data scientists, and engineers to take a feature from a rough idea to a finished product.
• →Leverage AI: Use tools like Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT to accelerate development and deliver outsized results with a small team.   

• A natural leader: You don’t wait for instructions. You’re comfortable juggling multiple projects and know how to get things across the finish line.
• A problem solver: You have a history of looking at a complicated situation and finding a creative, simple way through it.
• A great communicator: You can take a complex technical concept and explain it to a non-technical room without losing the "why."
• Data-informed: You’re comfortable digging into the data to understand user behavior and measure success.
• A seasoned PM: You have 8+ years in product management, working cross-functionally with a range of key stakeholders. 

• You’ve worked on a "two-sided" marketplace before (like apps for ride-sharing, food delivery, or classifieds).
• You’ve built products for a wide variety of different types of customers.

• Top 10 Shopping app in the App Store and Google Play Store for three years
• 15%+ of adults in several major markets use OfferUp every month (LA, Miami, Phoenix, Seattle, Las Vegas, Riverside, Orlando)
• OfferUp works directly with nearly 2000 US law enforcement agencies to build trust in local communities
