OHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy) is a tuition-free, K-12 online school dedicated to transforming education through a state-of-the-art virtual experience. We offer a flexible, standards-aligned curriculum delivered by highly qualified teachers, providing 24/7 access to learning. As a premier online academy, we tailor our instruction to meet the unique needs of every student—from advanced learners to those seeking a safe, bully-free environment.
The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based student support team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but some in-person work will be required throughout the year.
Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.

About the Opportunity
- Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of special education services, IEPs, evaluations, and compliance documentation
- Complete initial evaluations and re-evaluations
- Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
- Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
- Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
- Present evaluation findings at team meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
- Maintain knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
- Attend relevant training offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
- Collaborate on intervention planning, MTSS, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to address learning and behavioral needs
- Support and coach staff through professional development and team meetings
- Keep thorough records and help maintain compliance with all required reports
- Contribute to policies and procedures
- Additional duties as assigned
About You
- Experience in school or special education settings preferred
- Active Georgia Psychologist License
- Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
- Have familiarity with a variety of evaluation tools
- Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
- Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated
- Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently
- Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $67,500 - 77,500 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
