Responsibilities
~1 min readWe are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Engineer with strong AutoCAD drafting skills and experience developing shop drawings for CRL architectural systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of architectural and construction drawings and preferably experience with glass railing systems, curtain walls, architectural doors and entrances, gates, and other building envelope products. This role requires the ability to accurately translate design intent into fabrication-ready drawings while collaborating with sales and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.
- →Produce fully detailed multi-view shop drawings from architectural drawing sets, sketches, and order information provided by customers, and review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- →Read, evaluate, and interpret architectural drawings.
- →Review and revise drawings based on feedback and changes in design requirements.
- →Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation in Autodesk Vault.
- →Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- →Operate in a fast-paced environment, adept at developing detailed drawings for multiple deadlines at one time.
- →Collaborate with the technical sales team to understand project requirements and ensure design intent is accurately reflected in all drawings.
- →Ability to convert concepts into detailed drawings.
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of expert-level drafting experience in AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements related to architectural glazing and building envelope systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must effectively communicate with peers, sales, and engineering teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create accurate plans free of errors.
- Must be able to manage time effectively. Multi-tasking across various jobs and projects is necessary.
- 2-year degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
- Candidates with experience in the design, fabrication, installation, or management of glass railing systems, curtain wall systems, architectural doors and entrances, gates, and other building envelope products are strongly preferred.
