Optima Dermatology is recruiting an experienced full time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing Dermatology group in Stratham. NH. 

We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and optimistic teammate to join us as a Mohs MA/LPN! Join our amazing team that values each individual employee for their unique gifts and talents in a family-feel environment. We support each other in perfecting our skills and highly value cross-training.

Responsibilities

The following is an overview of the essential job functions and responsibilities, this may not be an all-encompassing list:

  • Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
  • Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
  • Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
  • Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
  • Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
  • Train new clinical support staff
  • Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
  • Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
  • Order Mohs supplies as needed. This includes all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies.

Requirements

  • Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients
  • Prior hands on laboratory experience preferred.
  • Prior dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred
  • Prior EMR experience
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
