Optima Dermatology is recruiting an experienced full time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing Dermatology group in Stratham. NH.

Responsibilities

- →Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
- →Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
- →Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
- →Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
- →Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
- →Train new clinical support staff
- →Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
- →Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
- →Order Mohs supplies as needed. This includes all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies.
Requirements
~1 min read- Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients
- Prior hands on laboratory experience preferred.
- Prior dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred
- Prior EMR experience
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
