Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN

Optima Dermatology is recruiting an experienced full time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing Dermatology group in Stratham. NH.

The following is an overview of the essential job functions and responsibilities, this may not be an all-encompassing list:

• →Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients
• →Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions
• →Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis
• →Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
• →Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized
• →Train new clinical support staff
• →Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)
• →Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed
• →Order Mohs supplies as needed. This includes all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies.

• Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients

• Prior hands on laboratory experience preferred.

• Prior dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred
• Prior EMR experience
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
