Optima is currently seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing healthcare data to support clinical, operational, and leadership decision-making. The Healthcare Data Analyst will work closely with multiple departments to develop reports, dashboards, and insights that help improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
Healthcare Data Analyst Responsibilities:
• Designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports for clinical, operational, and leadership teams
• Querying and analyzing data from healthcare databases and reporting systems
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to provider productivity, operational metrics, and patient outcomes
• Partnering with clinical and operational teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into meaningful data solutions
• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data across reporting systems and proactively identifying discrepancies
• Supporting ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from leadership and operational teams
• Documenting data definitions, report logic, and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and transparency

Healthcare Data Analyst Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analytics or reporting role; healthcare experience preferred
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
• Familiarity with healthcare data concepts such as CPT/ICD codes, claims data, EMR data structures, or value-based care metrics
• High level of professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing large datasets
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
