Train Cleaner - Nights

Optime Group are recruiting reliable, proactive and physically capable Night Train Cleaners to support our prestigious client at their depot in Filton, Bristol.

This vital role involves ensuring trains are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards overnight, ready for service the following day.

• Pay rate: £14.34 per hour
• Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off
• Shift times: 21:00 – 06:00
• Weekly pay
• FREE on-site parking at Filton depot
• Temp-to-perm opportunity, subject to performance

• →Carry out routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming, to maintain a clean and tidy environment inside the trains.
• →Inspect and report any damage, graffiti or vandalism to the appropriate team for prompt resolution.
• →Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as required, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• →Follow all relevant health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• →Follow procedures for the safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and materials.
• →Work across a large depot, which will involve extensive walking throughout the shift.
• →Clean trains both internally and externally in all weather conditions.

• You will be required to pass a medical and Drug & Alcohol test prior to starting the role.
• You will be required to complete Local Track Safety Awareness (LTSA) training.
• The depot operates 365 days a year, 7 days a week, so full flexibility is required.
• The shift pattern may be subject to change depending on operational requirements.

4 on, 4 off

• Day 1: 21:00 – 06:00
• Day 2: 21:00 – 06:00
• Day 3: 21:00 – 06:00
• Day 4: 21:00 – 06:00

You must be flexible and able to commit to the full shift pattern.

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Comfortable working night shifts and being on your feet for extended periods.
• Physically able to carry out manual tasks, including bending, lifting and cleaning at height.
• A strong sense of responsibility and good attention to detail.
• Must be willing to undergo a Basic DBS check.

This role involves working both independently and as part of a team during night hours. Reliability, flexibility and commitment are essential.
