The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner as assigned and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Performs oil changes on guest vehicles.
- →Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary.
- →Check's tire pressures and adds air, as needed.
- →Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs.
- →Performs a thorough check of guest's vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Consultant.
- →Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet.
- →Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment.
- →Assists the service department, as needed.
- →Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- →Achieves the production objectives set by management.
- →Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- →Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
- →Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance
Requirements

- Must have a valid TX driver's license, have, and maintain an acceptable safe driving record.
- Experience working as a lube technician in a dealership/shop OR currently attending a trade school or automotive program is required.
- Knowledge of automotive parts; basic mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages) and application.
- Ability to pay attention to detail; follow-up with internal and external guests; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehends instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, Internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Will primarily work in an automotive shop environment. Workspace is covered but may involve various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a regular basis.
Medium/Heavy Work---Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed.
This position will require the employee to be standing for prolonged periods of time.
This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis.
This position involves repetitive motion.
This position requires the ability to talk and hear with assistance.
Work evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required.
High school diploma or the equivalent and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Certification/Licenses/Registrations)
ASE Certification is preferred.
