About the role
To support Panmure Liberum's lead Research Analyst in maintaining and developing stock coverage within the Real Estate sector. Assisting with broader responsibilities including drafting research commentaries, detailed reports, modelling company financials and meeting corporate clients and prospective clients.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of Equity Research notes: assist in drafting timely and insightful research publications, including company updates, sector reviews, and thematic pieces, ensuring high standards of clarity, accuracy and analytical depth.
- Conduct financial modelling and data collection: build, maintain, and update detailed financial models to support valuation analysis and investment recommendations. Gather and interpret financial and industry data from a variety of sources to inform research outputs.
- Assist with responding to client requests: provide prompt and well-researched responses to institutional client queries, including bespoke analysis, data provision, and follow-up on published research.
- Meet with management teams of companies under coverage: participate in meetings and conference calls with senior management of covered companies to gather insights, challenge assumptions, and enhance the quality of research coverage.
- Interact with the Equity Sales desk on key ideas and sector themes: collaborate closely with the Sales team to communicate investment ideas, sector trends, and Research findings, supporting client engagement and idea generation.
Requirements
- University degree and ACA, CFA or equivalent qualification
- 2-5 years’ experience in financial services and keen interest in Equities, Real Estate
- Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, comparables etc)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint (financial databases
experience e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet advantageous) - Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking with the ability
assimilate large volumes of information quickly - Able to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Works well in a team setting as well as independently
