Technical Lead .NET / Angular (UK)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Software Architect / Technical Lead to define the technical foundations of a decision-support platform that helps in-house legal teams identify and select external counsel.

This role sits at the heart of the challenge — turning complex, fragmented data into a scalable product. You’ll lead technical discovery, shape architecture, and ensure the MVP is both deliverable in the near term and aligned to a longer-term platform vision.

Key Responsibilities About the Role

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of backend systems using .NET (C#) and front end technologies (like Angular).
• Develop and optimize parsing solutions using various approaches, including regex-based methods, structured document ingestion, and Aspose libraries
• Design systems for real-time validation and error handling at scale
• Architect cloud-based solutions leveraging Azure technologies, including Databricks, Data Factory, and SQL Server
• Create and integrate APIs using REST and GraphQL
• Ensure security and compliance in enterprise data systems, with a focus on GDPR
• Develop blueprints for scalable hybrid platforms that combine parsing engines, submission portals, and dashboards
• Contribute to the deployment and integration of Machine Learning models and AI environments
  

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with .NET (C#) for backend systems
• Experience in Front End implementation (Angular is desirable).
• Knowledge in using Bootstrap for responsive layouts and UI consistency.
• Deep understanding of various parsing approaches and technologies
• Proven experience in system design for large-scale data processing
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and related services
• Strong background in API design and integration
• Thorough understanding of security and compliance requirements in enterprise data systems
• Ability to create comprehensive blueprints for complex, scalable platforms
• Experience with or exposure to Machine Learning model deployments and AI environments

Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience working with legal industry data or similar complex, unstructured datasets
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Previous experience in modernizing legacy systems
• Knowledge of data analytics and visualization techniques
