  Must have a proven track record with accounting standards and protocols.

  Provides accurate information to the public at all times.

  Must be willing to participate in meetings with management, Board, and shelter staff, to share ideas and suggestions designed to improve the organization's ability to meet its goals and objectives.

  Must have detailed knowledge of operations and departments of the organization.

• →

  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• →

  Must have considerable knowledge of budgetary principles and practices.

• →

  Must be detail oriented.

• →

  Must have ability to gather, organize, correlate, and analyze facts.

• →

  Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  Possess valid Florida driver license and driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.

  Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge, Blackbaud Raisers Edge, AvidXchange, and QuickBooks, preferred.

  Must be a critical thinker who can effectively identify and evaluate problems, display sound judgment in resolving problems, and know when it is appropriate to ask for assistance.

• →

  Non-profit accounting experience, preferred.

• Associate’s degree with accounting focus

• Minimum three years related accounting experience; and/or combination of equivalent education and experience
