Senior Field Technician

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Senior Field Survey Technician to contribute to our projects on a full-time, direct basis in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

• →Collecting field data necessary to design or construction
• →Recording survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings
• →Completing land surveying computations for field surveys
• →Responsible charge of a field crew
• →Handling the preparation of construction cutsheets
• →Reading construction plans
• →Technical understanding of current survey field software

• 4-6 years of field experience
• Excel
• Math skills commensurate with field surveying

This person will be expected to work in the field so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License.

• Experience working in field-based roles with physically-demanding tasks.
• Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (e.g.: Total Stations, HDLS, GIS, etc.); experience with Leica Geosystems HW & SW, RTS (Robotic Total Stations), GPS, and/or Faro High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment is a plus!
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
