Assistant Manager. Merchandising Operations

For eighteen years, we have been Bermuda's edit of the best in fashion, fine jewelry, beauty, and home, stocking brands including Gigi Clozeau, Hunza G, Alemais, GANNI, and Staud from our flagship location in the heart of Hamilton. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and people-focused candidate to join our team as Assistant Manager, Merchandising Operations.  This is a full-time role for someone who genuinely loves fashion and design, takes pride in a beautifully run store, and understands that excellent merchandising and operational discipline are what makes exceptional retail experiences possible.  Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play a central role in how merchandise moves through the store, from purchasing and receiving to inventory management, visual display, and online operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day inventory processes including receiving, tagging, quality inspection, and stock replenishment across all product categories
• Maintaining and updating the inventory management system to ensure accuracy across in-store and online stock
• Conducting routine cycle counts and supporting full stocktakes; identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Liaising with vendors on incoming shipments, quality issues, returns, and special orders
• Planning and executing visual merchandising and in-store displays in line with brand standards and seasonal direction
• Managing and maintaining the online store, including product listings, inventory accuracy, photography coordination, and order fulfilment
• Supporting daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, register management, and delivery processing
• Assisting with customer and vendor correspondence, special orders, and general store administration
• Contributing ideas to product selection, promotional activity, social media content, and store strategy

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of three years' progressive experience in retail, merchandising, events, or a related field. Experience in a boutique or specialty retail environment is an asset
• Familiarity with retail inventory or point-of-sale systems is an advantage; candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn new platforms quickly are equally welcome to apply
• Proven ability to manage visual merchandising and maintain high presentation standards consistently
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and online order management
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently
• High attention to detail in product quality, stock accuracy, and store presentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor, customer, and team correspondence
• A genuine passion for fashion, design, and curated retail
• Physically able to perform the demands of the role, including handling stock, setting up displays, and extended periods on the shop floor
• Availability to work weekends and evenings for special in-store events and functions
• Proficiency in standard computer systems and digital tools; comfortable learning new platforms
