Overview

Perimeter Medical Imaging AI is a medical technology company transforming cancer surgery with ultra-high-resolution, real-time imaging and AI-enabled technologies. Our mission is to advance the standard of care, improve patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs by giving surgeons enhanced visualization of microscopic tissue structures in the operating room.

The Product Manager will play a key role in translating customer, clinical, commercial, and technical insights into product requirements, roadmap inputs, training tools, and commercialization support. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with strong analytical ability, structured thinking, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to work at the intersection of medical technology, AI, clinical workflow, and commercialization.

The ideal candidate has direct experience in the medical device industry and  is highly capable, organized, and eager to grow. They should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, learning technical and clinical concepts quickly, and translating scattered feedback into structured product insights.

This person should be excited by the opportunity to work across product strategy, AI-enabled technology, clinical workflow, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Commercial, Engineering, Clinical and Quality to refine Perimeter’s Voice of Customer process by collecting, organizing, and synthesizing feedback from surgeons, clinical users, sales teams, clinical applications specialists, and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate customer pain points, workflow needs, and field observations into clear product insights and prioritized recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain VoC trackers, feedback themes, customer needs documentation, and follow-up action plans.
  • Support product testing activities, including planning, test script development, user feedback collection, and documentation of findings.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and Applications teams to translate product feedback into clear product requirements.
  • Assist in defining user needs, workflow requirements, usability considerations, and feature-level acceptance criteria.
  • Help maintain product requirements documentation and ensure feedback is traceable to customer needs and business priorities.
  • Support cross-functional reviews of product changes, new features, workflow improvements, and user interface updates.
  • Gather and organize feedback related to AI performance, usability, visualization, workflow integration, and surgeon interpretation.
  • Support development and maintenance of the product roadmap by organizing inputs from customers, commercial teams, clinical users, competitive intelligence, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support commercial evaluation of product opportunities, including market sizing, customer segmentation, competitive landscape, pricing considerations, and adoption barriers.
  • Conduct competitive research and summarize implications for positioning, roadmap prioritization, sales enablement, and customer messaging.
  • Translate product features and clinical workflow benefits into clear, compliant, customer-relevant messaging.
  • Support development and refinement of internal and external training materials for Sales, Clinical Applications, and customer users.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in engineering, life sciences, biomedical engineering, business, health sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, analytics, product management, clinical applications, consulting, product marketing, or commercial operations preferred.
  • Prior exposure to regulated medical devices, imaging, AI, surgery, oncology, or hospital-based technologies is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting product requirements, customer research, product testing, market analysis, or training content development preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to synthesize complex feedback into clear themes, requirements, and recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with technical, clinical, regulatory, quality, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn clinical, technical, and commercial aspects of the business.
  • Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, technical feasibility, and regulatory considerations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Professional presence and comfort interacting with customers and field teams.

Desired  Attributes

  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Strong listener who can ask thoughtful follow-up questions.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Comfortable spending time in the field to understand real-world product use.
  • Interested in AI, imaging, surgery, oncology, and improving patient outcomes.
  • Eager to grow into broader product ownership over time.
