Player Assistant

Responsible for providing the highest level of professionalism and customer services for our 

Members and Guests on the course. Responsible for professionally enforcing all club rules 

pertaining to golf as well as providing assistance to Members and Guests in order to keep play 

at an even flow.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service to provide the Three Steps of Service as Members and Guests play golf.
• Responsible for being on the course as scheduled, unless checking with the starters or other golf operations staff reporting any incidents or situations that need attention.
• Assist the Members and Guests whenever possible orrequesting givingsuggestions on proper golf course etiquette.
• Responsible for enforcing all club rules as they pertain to the golf course.
• Maintain a polite manner whenever aMemberor Guest is approachedwitha violation.
• Assist the Members whenever possible by looking for lost balls, providing rides if desired.
• Responsible for fixing ball marks whenever possible, fill divots with topsoil and pick up loose articles on the golf course, straightening cart guidance ropes and theirsupports.
• Responsible forassistingand coordinating services with other golf operations staff such asoutside services, range attendants, cart attendants, etc. as necessary to ensure seamless andefficient servicestoMembers and Guests takes place.
• Be informed to let Members and guests know of Club services, features, upcomingeventsand specials available in the Golf Shop.
• Responsible for seeing that daily assignmentsiscompleted in their respective areas, to meetClub standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (ieno trash/debris on course, supplies arerestocked, signage is neat, etc.).
• Assistfellow Employee Partners,Membersand guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps ofservice without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment andparticipateas a member of the team.
• Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible

EDUCATION

• Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent required

• Customer service experience. Basic Golf Knowledge Required
• Ability to communicate and follow instructions.
• You are comfortable working in both indoor and occasional outdoor environments

• Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each EmployeePartner toperform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you.Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
• Adhere toall ofthe variouscompany,clubanddepartmentwritten mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
• Responsible fordemonstratinggood teamwork.
• Professional, impeccable appearancemaintainedby self and all private event personnel.
• Take initiative to solve problems,utilizingall available resources including regional and corporate staff.
• Responsible formaintaininggood conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely. 
• Attendance at daily line-up andparticipatingas requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting, standing, walking, driving, exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs on occasion, folding/unfolding, talking, hearing, and seeing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Most of the time will be working outdoors.
