Gym Attendant

Ask us how we do it at the Y- it's awesome!   What is needed for this job as our Gym Attendant: 18+ years of age Excellent knowledge of instructing in the program area - Basketball, Soccer, Football, and more! Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability   The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Gym Attendant: Monitor the gymnasium and basketball courts to maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment Enforce YMCA rules, policies, and procedures while addressing member concerns professionally Manage court usage and participation during open gym and recreational activities Assist with transitions between open gym, programs, practices, rentals, and scheduled activities Set up, break down, and properly store equipment while maintaining an organized equipment area Maintain a clean, orderly gym and address potential safety hazards Conduct and document attendance and required head counts Assist with opening, closing, and securing the gym and equipment Provide friendly customer service and answer basic questions from members and guests Promptly report injuries, incidents, safety concerns, and facility issues to YMCA leadership   What you can expect: Support from an amazing team which includes training you on expectations Opportunities to learn and grow!
