RECERTIFICATION SPECIALIST

Responsibilities

  • →Compliance & Documentation: Review tenant files for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, or local housing regulations.
  • →Income/Asset Verification: Calculate household income, assets, and expenses to determine rent, processing annual and interim recertifications.
  • →Resident Interaction: Notify residents of upcoming recertifications, collect necessary documentation, and answer questions regarding the process.
  • →Reporting & Systems: Maintain updated records, often using software like Yardi or Voyager, and generate compliance reports for management. 

Requirements

  •  High School Diploma/GED equivalency. 
  • Knowledge of Yardi/Voyager software is helpful. 
  • Experience: Three+ years of low-income, senior, or housing-related programs 
  • Certification: COS for HUD programs. 
  • Ability to accurately and consistently maintain logs and write reports. 
  • Bilingual helpful — Spanish 
  • Property Manager Software, especially Yardi is a plus 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  

JOB SUMMARY:   Process all required annual income certifications as per HUD and LIHTC regulations at multiple properties
