Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
At Pinnacle, we are preparing for the future. To effect change across the network, the Development Manager will play a key role, working alongside District Managers, general practice and/or clusters of practices and extended care teams, in helping to identify, plan and deliver development projects/initiatives. You will ensure that change projects support sustainable health service delivery and are prioritised to focus on improving equity and eliminate health disparities particularly for Māori and Pasifika.
The Development Manager will be working with individual practices and with clusters of practices within a district, across the region and with other organisations with a focus on executing, influencing, relationship building and strategic thinking. The use data visualisation tools and AI will be used regularly.
The Development Manager will be responsible for applying competent skills, knowledge, and development methodologies to investigate and facilitate solutions to system challenges that improve equity, quality, safety and experience in general practice.
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, you will have experience in quality and / or, change management and the ability to work with and coach general practice teams to achieve and manage successful change.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will bring the following:
- Tertiary level qualification in health, business or related subject, or equivalent experience
- Formal training in improvement methodologies such as Improvement Advisor training, LEAN or Six Sigma and evidence of successful outcomes using these methodologies
- Desirable: A Registered Health Professional or a recognised business management degree or equivalent
- A minimum of five years’ experience in quality systems improvement and/or change management
- Significant experience in using a suite of improvement tools which may include process analysis, data capture, data interrogation, problem solving, root cause analysis, and other creative methods
- A demonstrated track record in achieving change and delivering projects on time and on budget
- Experience working with Māori and Pasifika leaders and communities to achieve their health aspirations
