We’re currently looking for a Head of FP&A, Group Reporting and Group Cash Flow Financial Analysis Controlling to join our Group Controlling team and lead Polestar’s financial planning, reporting and cash flow agenda at a global level. In this role, you act as a strategic partner to the business and executive leadership, providing forward-looking insights that support data-driven decision-making and long-term performance.
You will be part of a global finance organization operating in a fast-evolving, international environment. With strong collaboration across functions and regions, the team plays a central role in translating strategy into financial direction, ensuring transparency, efficiency and financial sustainability as Polestar continues to scale.
This position is located at our headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and focused individual work are essential. What matters most is having the right conditions to deliver at a high level and enjoy the journey along the way.
Responsibilities
~1 min readIn this role, you’ll be expected to lead and continuously develop Polestar’s global FP&A, group reporting and cash flow planning capabilities. Working as part of Group Controlling, you will be instrumental in strengthening financial governance, enabling strategic decisions and driving continuous improvement across planning and reporting processes. Leading the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives

Driving scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and risk and opportunity assessments to support investment and decision-making
- →
Delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting, including KPI follow-up and variance analysis for executive management and the board

Owning group-wide cash flow planning and forecasting to ensure liquidity for operational and strategic needs

Developing the FP&A function through process improvements, automation and close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders
To succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, you bring the confidence and judgement that comes from operating in complex, international finance environments. You are comfortable balancing strategic perspective with hands-on leadership, and you know how to turn financial analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. You work with structure and prioritization, communicate with clarity, and navigate change with a pragmatic and forward-looking mindset.
In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:
Extensive leadership experience within finance, preferably with an automotive or industrial background
An academic degree in finance or equivalent experience demonstrating strong financial expertise
Solid controlling background with knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and local reporting requirements
Strong analytical capability and experience working with advanced business analytics tools
International experience and the ability to lead across cultures and global interfaces
