Transportation Provider

• Safely and compassionately transport eligible Tribal Members to non-emergency medical appointments and related services.
• Provide transportation for Elder Services and other tribal functions as needed.
• Operate and maintain vehicles safely, including routine cleaning, maintenance, and documentation.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment for all passengers and promote proper safety practices.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Tribal insurance requirements.
• Coordinate transportation schedules and maintain an accurate appointment calendar.
• Communicate effectively with the Manager of Elder Services regarding transportation needs and services.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding passenger information, medical needs, records, and conversations.
• Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, or health and safety concerns to the appropriate authorities and Manager.
• Provide information about Tribal resources and assist clients with accessing available services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of related employment experience in the transportation field preferred.
• Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain certification during the first week of employment.
• Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain certification within ninety (90) days of the date of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
• Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
• Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
• Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
• Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to safely sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to load and unload wheelchairs and mobility equipment.
• Strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, interact effectively with the public, and complete assignments.
