Data Migration Specialist

Podium is an AI-powered lead conversion platform that helps local businesses turn more leads into customers through messaging, payments, and AI agents. We partner with tens of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses across North America, and every customer’s success starts with getting their data into Podium accurately and efficiently.

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will ensure new Podium customers start with clean, accurate, and well-structured data from day one. You’ll work closely with Onboarding Managers and Customer Success Managers to extract, clean, transform, and import data from legacy systems into Podium.

This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll work with Python, spreadsheets, and AI tools to streamline processes and solve complex data challenges. You’ll also play a key role in resolving high-priority customer data issues quickly and effectively.

• →Own end-to-end data migrations: Extract data from third-party systems (CSV, APIs, database exports), clean and normalize it, and upload into Podium
• →Automate and scale: Use Python (pandas) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets to transform and validate large datasets
• →Leverage AI tools: Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and internal AI systems to accelerate data cleaning and validation
• →Improve processes: Identify patterns and propose improvements to make migrations faster and more accurate
• →Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Onboarding and CSM teams to define requirements and ensure data accuracy
• →Handle escalations: Troubleshoot and resolve post-launch data issues with urgency and clear communication

• 1–2 years of experience in a data or technical role (Data Analyst, RevOps, BI, Technical Onboarding, etc.)
• Strong Python skills (pandas preferred) for data cleaning and transformation
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
• Experience using AI tools to improve workflows
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-changing environments

• SQL experience
• Experience working with REST APIs
• SaaS onboarding, implementation, or technical support experience
• Familiarity with CRM or business data models

A poor data migration can lose a customer on day one—while a great one builds trust immediately. In this role, you’ll directly shape that first impression, with the tools, autonomy, and support to deliver it at a high level.
