About the Role
~1 min readThis is not a traditional HR role. This role combines:
- talent acquisition,
- leadership development,
- organizational design,
- performance management,
- and implementation of management systems and accountability culture across the company.
The goal is simple:
ensure Polleo has the right people, leaders, structure, and management discipline for the next phase of growth.
This is currently a lean, hands-on leadership role with a small core team consisting of 1 HR Recruiter and 1 Payroll Specialist.
The expectation is not to manage a large HR department, but to build organizational capability, leadership quality, accountability, and scalable people systems across the company.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Build and improve proactive recruitment strategies and hiring quality across departments
- Develop structured hiring, interview, and leadership hiring processes
- Build pipelines for key positions and reduce dependency on founders/executives in hiring
- Implement hiring KPIs, employer branding, and referral initiatives
- Strengthen leadership quality and accountability across the organization
- Standardize performance evaluation, talent reviews, and feedback processes
- Support managers in difficult people decisions and performance conversations
- Identify high performers, talent gaps, and organizational bottlenecks
- Improve organizational design, role clarity, and accountability structures to support scaling
- Implement and maintain effective management systems, including scorecards, meeting rhythms, feedback loops, and quarterly execution discipline
- Ensure leadership teams consistently execute agreed priorities and processes
- Protect and strengthen Polleo’s core values: Innovation, Teamwork & Honesty, Accountability, Fighter Mentality & Humility
- Ensure values-based hiring, promotion, onboarding, and people decisions
- Help maintain a high-performance, low-politics culture
We are looking for a highly business-oriented people leader who understands that organizational quality directly impacts company performance.
Requirements

- Experience in performance management and organizational development
- Strong business understanding (not only HR administration)
- High ownership and execution mindset
- Confidence in difficult conversations and decision-making
- Analytical and KPI-driven mindset
- Strong communication and leadership presence
- Scale-up or growth environments
- Retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or fast-paced businesses
- Consulting or organizational transformation
- Experience working closely with leadership teams during scaling
