Ship production-quality code with guidance from senior team members.
Take ownership of small to medium-sized components or features.
Collaborate effectively with Product, QA, and Design teams on feature delivery.
Independently deliver features from design to production.
Contribute to performance improvements and scalability initiatives.
Develop a strong understanding of Poshmark’s system architecture and make data-driven technical decisions.
Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas to improve platform reliability and efficiency.
Mentor interns or new hires joining the team.
BE or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent). Solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
4+ years of relevant software engineering experience through projects or internships
Experience with Amazon AWS or other Cloud Computing platforms is preferred
Experience with any or all of: Ruby, JRuby, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Linux
User-oriented focus and obsession with quality
Experience with email and or push notifications technology a plus
