System Administrator

FoodTec Solutions Inc., a trailblazing point-of-sale solutions provider in the restaurant industry, headquartered in Needham, MA. POS Solutions, FoodTec's Premium Partner, is based in the city of Thessaloniki and is seeking a dynamic System Administrator to join our dedicated team. 

The successful candidate should have expertise in system administration, automation, and continuous integration. Our stack includes AWS, Ansible, Kubernetes, Oracle, AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL backed), GitLab and its CI, Docker, Helm, Gradle, Maven, Bash, and lots of other fun technologies.

Role Responsibilities:

•     Develop custom deployment scripts and automation tools
•     Help in the design of system management tools
•     Configure production, development, and testing environments and ensure availability of relative application        services
•     Write code to automate repeatable processes
•     Resolve configuration-related problems
•     Write documentation for custom tools
  

Role Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in IT or Programming, familiar with at least one scripting language (python, shell scripting ).
• Good knowledge of diverse operating systems and technologies (Windows, Linux, PowerShell, shell, web server, ftp, networking, storage ).   
  
• Experience in working in an agile team and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with AWS will be considered a plus
• Experience with CI/CD using GitLab CI (or any other platform) will be considered a plus
• Experience with task automation using Ansible or similar technology will be considered a plus
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Understanding of Java and programming concepts
