Responsibilities

- →Revise production schedules and priorities as needed.
- →Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products consistent with effective operations and cost factors.
- →Coordinates production activities with planning department, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain efficient production and utilization of personnel, machines and equipment.
- →Ensure all company standards and customer commitments are met daily.
- →Review and analyze production reports (OEE, downtime, waste) to determine causes of non-conformity with product specification and/or operating effectiveness.
- →Adheres to daily production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
- →Keep management informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of department.
- →Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel.
- →Establish high morale within department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems. Maintain confidentiality.
- →Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures and good housekeeping.
- →Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Directly supervises all employees assigned to the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years prior supervisory experience as a proven manager of at least five people.
- Prior corrugated industry experience.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
- Prior Asistrade experience.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
- Able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
The performance of the employee will be measured as follows:
Operating standards - the employee will need to meet or exceed the Operating Standards in the areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the employee.
Personal growth - while the company will provide the tools to assist the employee to grow professionally the responsibility for moving forward lies with the individual. Each year there will be goals developed and agreed to by the employee and his/her supervisor.
Employee relations - through observations the employee will be evaluated regarding his/her behaviors associated with appropriate human interaction, respect and communication.
Creativity - this will be evaluated by how active the employee is in participating in advancing the business through new and innovative ideas.
