At Prelude Prep, teachers are not expected to figure everything out alone. Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Middle School Math Teacher, you will help students develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and conceptual understanding while fostering a classroom culture built on effort, persistence, and academic growth.
Responsibilities include:
• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction
• Build students' conceptual understanding while developing procedural fluency
• Create a structured classroom environment where students are challenged to think critically and explain their reasoning
• Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
• Support students in developing confidence and perseverance when faced with challenging problems
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes for students
• Participate actively in coaching, planning, and professional development
• Contribute positively to the culture and mission of the school

Requirements
~1 min read• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Eligibility to work in the United States
Nice to Have
~1 min read• Texas teaching certification in Mathematics
• Previous classroom teaching experience
• Experience working with middle school students
• Background in mathematics, engineering, science, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field
• Experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, leading youth programs, or working with children in another setting
Teaching certification is preferred but not required. We are willing to invest in the right candidate who demonstrates strong content knowledge, a commitment to student growth, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
