Premier Automation is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Alpharetta, GA team, where you’ll play a key role in designing electrical control systems for industrial automation projects. This position is focused on developing accurate, production-ready electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on EPLAN experience who enjoys working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support real-world automation projects from design through production.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daylight office hours
Location & Work Environment: Based out of our Alpharetta, GA facility, with time split between office-based electrical design work and hands-on shop involvement to support design validation
Team & Reporting: Reports to the Facility Operations Manager and Engineering Manager; works closely with engineering and production teams to support project execution and panel builds

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Designer, you will:

→Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials using EPLAN
→Create accurate, production-ready drawing packages that can be directly used by manufacturing teams
→Utilize EPLAN to maintain organized, standardized, and scalable electrical designs
→Select and specify electrical components based on project requirements and design standards
→Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with project scope and timelines
→Ensure designs meet applicable electrical codes and standards, including UL508A and NFPA70 (NEC)
→Support design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve accuracy, efficiency, and standardization
→Assist in maintaining and improving internal EPLAN standards, templates, and documentation practices
→Work closely with the shop floor to answer design questions and support build execution
