Clinical Associate / Pain Clinic

Position: Patient Care Associate Department: Pain Clinic Shift: 7:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, varied days during the week, Support position Facility: Miami Valley Hospital and Miami Valley South Hospital The Clinical Associate is responsible for general clerical, reception, and customer service for the operation of the physician's office. The Clinical Associate handles a high volume of sensitive medical and personal information daily. They are responsible for incoming calls, and other duties assigned. Education: You'll need a high school diploma or GED. Curent CPR at time of hire Experience: Successful completion of one of the following: 1. Completion of previous STNA or CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training. 2. Direct patient care experience within the last five years: Performing fundamental skills of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) & direct patient care activities ie. Bathing, turning/positioning, toileting 3. Currently enrolled in nursing school and have completed at least one clinical rotation. *Special Consideration: If the candidate has previous direct patient care experience, they may be excused from fundamental training (BCOP) upon completion of successful skills validation. This is in lieu of the above requirements. * Other Skills: * You can handle doing many things simultaneously, even when people interrupt you, and still be nice. * You know how to use a computer. * You're good at organizing things. * You can talk and listen well to others. * Bonus points: You've worked in a hospital before.
