Parts Runner- in Shop

Responsibilities
~2 min read- Stage all parts for repair orders in designated shelving/racking organized by the first Digit of the company name.
- Pre-stage parts for the following day’s work in coordination with the Shop Supervisor.
- Work with Shop Supervisors to pre-pull parts for units scheduled to come into the shop.
- Deliver required parts to technician bays when requested.
- Identify additional parts needed by technicians and deliver promptly.
- Prepackage parts for new truck sales (mudflaps, floor mats, accessories, add-ons).
- Assist in stocking the showroom and putting away incoming stock.
- Walk the shop with cart and see what Technicians might need billing on RO as required.
- Daily Safety Walk
Receiving & Documentation
- Assist with receiving emergency shop orders.
- Attach pick tickets and communicate arrivals to Service Advisors.
- Update CDK with arrival notes and ensure receiving notes are complete.
- Offload shuttle transfers and receive items accurately.
- Pick orders for service, transfers, pickups, and deliveries.
Inventory & Organization
- Return unused parts to the Parts Department and collaborate with Inventory Control.
- Tag, inspect, remove, and return cores to the core area.
- Help with warranty parts, ensuring tagged and returned to warranty department
- Help with scrap in Core Department
Communication & Collaboration
- Attend daily/weekly Service Huddles.
- Carry a walkie-talkie and respond to Parts Back Counter.
- Coordinate with Parts, Service, Warehouse, and Inventory Control teams.
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts.
- Operate pallet carts.
Requirements
~1 min readA high school diploma and/or GED is required. Combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
3-year industry experience.
Technical knowledge of truck parts an asset.
$20-$24 hourly
