Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our friendly, hands-on team for 3 months (fixed term), while we recruit on a permanent basis. We are located in a central yet peaceful location on the edge of the Panmure Lagoon.

About You
- Must have at least 12 months experience in Front Office as Duty Manager (or similar role) with experience using hotel booking software. If you have Suite 8 and Opera Cloud experience, even better!
- A passion for customer service, high standards of service and excellent attention to detail.
- Is confident and experienced in all facets of Front Office duties.
- Have the ability to multi-task with a can-do attitude
- Keep a cool head whilst working under pressure
- Will have current LCQ, Managers Licence and First Aid Certificates.
- Must be able to work on a rotating roster that covers, days, evening/night & weekends (minimum of 3 shifts per week).
- Are available to start as soon as possible.
- Must have the right to work in NZ
About the Job
- Assist the Front Office Manager and team to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operations of the Front Desk, assisting guests with enquiries, reservations, housekeeping requests, settling guest accounts and ensuring cashiering is accurate
- Responsibility for ensuring compliance with obligations under Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act
- Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
- Maintain high hotel standards and ensure guest safety and comfort is paramount
