This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

Responsibilities

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated independent Advanced Practice Provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected Urgent Care Clinic, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

 

  • Join an established team of 1 physicians and 7 APPs
  • Practice setting: Urgent Care
  • Access to onsite X-ray and laboratory services for rapid diagnosis
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests including X-rays, laboratory studies, and point of care testing
  • Provide procedures such as wound repair, splinting, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and other urgent care interventions within scope of practice
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record

 

  • K+Stat is staffed to handle multiple patients for minor illnesses and injuries, including pediatrics
  • Serving a population of approximately 130,000 across the Manhattan and surrounding area

Responsibilities

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience preferred.
