Could It Be You? The Senior Analyst, Credit Risk will be responsible for credit risk-related analytics, modeling, monitoring, reporting, and insights. This involves a deep understanding and expertise in leveraging cutting-edge analytics and subject matter expertise to generate loss forecasts and portfolio performance, at an aggregate or segment level. Making insights-driven recommendations related to the portfolio, credit strategy, and credit risk-related methodologies. Developing, validating, executing, monitoring, and refitting predictive risk models (e.g., probability of default and Loss Give Default  modeling for IFRS 9). Performing periodic or ad-hoc analyses on large datasets using data analytics tools and software, such as Python, SQL, BIG Query, and Power BI, and generating reports and insights regarding the performance of models, products, and portfolios in aggregate and at a segment level. This role will work with a cross-functional team on credit strategies and the associated decisioning process, and loss or forecasting models.   Need more details? Keep reading… In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Loss forecasting. Portfolio analytics and reporting. Developing, validating, executing, and monitoring risk models. Developing underwriting criteria for adjudication of retail lending products.  Supporting the implementation of models and strategy in the production system working with Technologies.  Developing and maintaining documentation for reports, models and strategy.  Generating insights and communicating the insights and their implications to the team and to senior leadership. Devising a Test & Learn approach in credit decisioning. Tracking credit strategy performance.  Conducting model performance tracking and validation.  Recommending changes in credit strategy based on credit performance. Proactively identifying issues and conducting root cause analysis. Impact assessment. Data processing using Python and data manipulation using Microsoft Power BI.   So are YOU our next Senior Analyst, Credit Risk? You are if you… Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics  Have 2+ years of analytics and segmentation experience in financial services, preferably in retail lending Have advanced coding skills in Python and SQL Have experience in model development, validation, execution, and monitoring, including statistical and forecasting models Are passionate about analytics  Have the ability to learn and apply new tools Have number sense and ability to drill down Bring a positive, can-do mindset to our organization, using creative solutions to solve challenges Are a strong team player who motivates others to achieve group success Establish and build on healthy working relationships with your team and peers Use open communication and collaboration to solve problems and manage deliverables  Work well in a dynamic and fast paced environment with the ability to navigate through organizational change   Additional kudos if you… Have experience with credit card and mortgage portfolios Have proficiency / certification in Microsoft Power BI Have experience with BIG Query and Data Bricks Have a good understanding of credit risk management   Compensation Information: Base salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada).
