Starting Salary: $64,000/year, with higher salary available depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced Railcar Repair Supervisor to direct field crews performing railroad emergency response, railcar repairs, load adjustment and transfer, and track maintenance and construction.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating daily field activities, maintaining safe work practices, monitoring equipment and crew performance, and ensuring work is completed to quality and operational standards.

  • Organize daily assignments and direct field crews.
  • Conduct job-site safety meetings and reinforce proper PPE use.
  • Ensure compliance with FRA, DOT, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Oversee field projects and assist with hands-on work and equipment operation when needed.
  • Coordinate activities involving railcar repair, derailment response, load adjustment/transfer, and track maintenance and construction.
  • Communicate with customers, regulatory agencies, and field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Complete and submit accurate payroll, equipment usage, and project reports.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members.
  • Prepare project quotes covering labor, equipment, and logistics.
  • Inspect equipment and help maintain operational readiness.
  • Identify field issues and help resolve problems quickly and safely.
  • At least 2 years of railroad industry experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT, FRA, and railroad safety regulations.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
  • Valid driver's license; Class A or B CDL preferred.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes and excavators.
  • Ability to read and interpret load charts.
  • Understanding of rigging practices and requirements.
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent travel and overnight assignments.
  • Physically demanding field work, including walking on uneven terrain and lifting.
  • Extended work hours may be required based on project and emergency response needs.
