JT626 - INFORMATION SCIENTIST TECHNICIAN

• →Collect, organize, store, and maintain research data and information to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with established procedures.
• →Perform data cleaning, transformation, and descriptive analysis to support seasonal research programs.
• →Identify trends, patterns, and relationships within quantitative and qualitative datasets.
• →Merge and analyze datasets from multiple sources, including field observations and quantitative research metrics.
• →Interpret agronomic scouting observations and relate findings to relevant agricultural metrics, including Integrated Pest Management (IPM) applications.
• →Standardize qualitative data, including scales, categories, and field observation records.
• →Conduct routine information searches and compile data and reports as requested.
• →Modify existing databases and formulate search requests as needed.
• →Maintain organized records and manage multiple data sources effectively.
• →Follow written and verbal instructions, established standards, and research procedures.
• →Perform indoor and outdoor tasks as required by the seasonal research program.
• →Support the Field Research Assistant and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Natural Sciences (Biology or Environmental Science), Statistics, Mathematics, or Information Systems.
• Must have data analysis information experience
• Knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and descriptive analysis.
• Ability to identify trends and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Understanding of agricultural field observations and agronomic scouting is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear and understandable information.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple data sources.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Availability to work 1st and 2nd shifts, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts as required.

The selected candidate must be responsible for expediting and obtaining the required driver's license when requested. Obtaining this license is a condition of employment.
