About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a global team working on the modernization of a strategic Market Risk platform.

  • Contribute to complex software development projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Take an active role in the modernization of the Market Risk platform.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance existing software applications.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure and high-performance solutions.
  • Contribute to solution architecture and technical design.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across different regions.
  • Contribute to project roadmaps and technical strategy.
  • Promote software engineering best practices and design patterns.
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and ensure high-quality engineering practices.
  • Participate actively in BAU activities and production support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across the development lifecycle.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java development.
  • Strong experience with Spring.
  • Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and logical data modelling.
  • Experience querying and optimizing queries against large relational databases.
  • Practical experience with JUnit and unit testing.
  • Ability to write scripts using Shell or Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following appropriate coding standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
  • Experience working effectively in a global, distributed team environment.
  • Interest in leveraging AI agents and automation tools across software development, validation and production deployment processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
