- *This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated, based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025.
- Full Time, Fixed term (temporary) contract up until 31 December 2027.

About the Role
~1 min readThe Allied Health Assistant provides day-to-day support for inpatient and outpatient care, assisting Physiotherapists with patient interventions under direct or indirect supervision. The Allied Health Assistant works with patients across neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic and obstetric/gynaecological services, and undertakes routine hydrotherapy pool water quality and chemical testing.

Responsibilities

- →Assist in individual or group therapy sessions.
- →Provide standby assistance in the hydrotherapy pool.
- →Prepare equipment and facilities for use.
- →Monitor, order, and supply equipment and consumable stock levels.
Requirements

- Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional.
- High levels of professionalism and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of an Allied Health Professional.
