~1 min readThe Event Sales Manager is responsible for generating corporate and private event business through proactive sales, lead generation, relationship management and client engagement. Working within the Conferences, Meetings & Events team, you will identify new business opportunities, reconnect with past clients, conduct venue presentations and site inspections, prepare tailored proposals, and negotiate contracts to achieve sales targets. This role requires a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences while contributing to the commercial success of Arts Centre Melbourne.
- Experience in event sales, hospitality, venue hire or a similar sales role.
- Proven track record in sales conversion and revenue generation.
- Experience building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience presenting to clients and conducting venue inspections.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience monitoring financial performance and working to budgets.
- Industry networks within events, hospitality or corporate functions desirable.
