About the Role
~1 min readAs a Technical Officer, you’ll play a valued role in delivering a high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology service within a regional laboratory. You’ll apply your technical expertise and sound judgement across research, operational and project work, contributing to reliable processes and outcomes that support quality patient care.
You’ll have the opportunity to work independently and, where required, lead minor technical projects and provide supervision within the team. Using your experience and technical skills, you’ll assess equipment, procedures, processes and results, preparing clear reports and recommendations that help drive safe, effective and high-quality laboratory services.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Positive commitment to customer service.
Communicate and work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to use initiative to solve problems.
Ability to work under limited supervision. Training will be provided in all disciplines.
We’re looking for a technically skilled and collaborative professional who brings laboratory expertise, sound judgement and a strong commitment to quality and service.
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant laboratory setting
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills
- Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work independently
