Rather than extensive experience, the firm seeks candidates with the strategic mindset required to manage new business acquisition and key account management. Mandatory Educational Requirement University Degree: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce, Business, Logistics, or Finance). A natural affinity for data and numerical analysis is essential. Professional Responsibilities Phase 1: Commercial Sourcing (Business Development) Lead Identification: Target and qualify high-value leads within the global product portfolio. Stakeholder Engagement: Secure and conduct formal pitch meetings with C-suite decision-makers. Pipeline Management: Maintain a high-velocity sales pipeline, utilizing commercial intelligence to provide accurate quotations and secure contracts. Phase 2: Client Excellence (Account Management) Strategic Advisory: Serve as the primary commercial lead for a dedicated client portfolio. Performance Reviews: Facilitate monthly business reviews to ensure adherence to service level agreements. Revenue Growth: Identify and execute "upsell" opportunities to enhance account value and revenue. Phase 3: Operational Integration Internal Collaboration: Liaise with customs and internal operations to ensure seamless cargo delivery. Execution: Oversee the end-to-end service cycle, ensuring all documentation meets precise accuracy standards. Data Analysis: Utilise Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to refine commercial strategies and provide clients with market-leading insights. 30-Month Remuneration & Growth Pathway The roadmap is transparent and strictly performance-linked. As your commercial impact increases, so does your remuneration package. Timeline Phase Remuneration Months 1–6 Foundation: Air, Sea, and Road freight operations. R31,000 pm Months 6–18 Transition: Permanent BDM or CAM appointment. R36,000 pm + Bonus Months 18–30 Specialist: Portfolio ownership and strategy. R40,000 pm + Bonus Months 30+ Leadership: Senior BDM / CAM status. R45,000 pm + Bonus Candidate Attributes Resilience: A "hunter" mindset with the ability to remain focused on objectives in the face of challenges. Communication: The ability to persuade and influence stakeholders at all levels—from operations to executive leadership—with data-backed confidence.
