Estimating and ERP Systems Coordinator

A well-established manufacturing client requires a meticulous Estimator to bridge the gap between initial design concepts and final production. This role is ideal for a practical individual with a genuine passion for design and craftsmanship, possessing a natural curiosity about how components are assembled and a robust mathematical understanding of measurements. As a key collaborator between the sales and operations teams, you will ensure that every project is underpinned by accurate data, cost-efficiency, and technical viability. Permanent, in-office, Monday to Thursday 7.30 - 16.30, Friday 7.30 to 16.00. R18 000 - R20 000 per month. Key Responsibilities Systems Management: Manage and maintain the QuickEasy programme, ensuring all system setups relating to estimating, including material additions and cost centre edits are accurate and up to date. Project Estimation: Generate precise project estimates and quotations by analysing technical requirements and material costs to ensure profitability. Workflow Integration: Liaise closely with operations, production, and sales departments to ensure seamless integration and communication throughout the project lifecycle, including SKU management. Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity of pricing data across the system to support informed commercial decision-making. Requirements Technical Aptitude: A strong mathematical understanding of measurements and a practical grasp of how items are manufactured or put together. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a "right-first-time" approach to complex costing and pricing analysis. Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough systems and process management to optimise estimating workflows. Collaboration: Proven ability to provide cross-functional support to diverse internal teams. Experience: While 2–3 years of estimating experience is preferred, candidates who demonstrate the required practical mindset and curiosity regarding manufacturing processes will be considered. Preferred Qualifications Industry Experience: Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
